Foreshore Permits To launch a powercraft around Wirral's coast you need a foreshore permit, available from Safewater Training Sea School - call (0151) 630 0466.

West Kirby Marine Lake The marine lake in West Kirby is available all year for sailboarding, dinghy sailing and canoeing. To contact the Sailing Centre, call (0151) 625 2510.To make an enquiry about local weather conditions, licences or available courses, call (0151) 625 3292.

Centenary of Scouting - "One World One Promise" 2007 marks the Centenary of Scouting, 100 years since the first experimental camp on Brownsea Island where it all started. In celebration, there are many events taking place across the UK and indeed all over the world so keep a look out for these and get involved.

Scout Charity Christmas Post It's that time of year again when Scouts around Wirral get involved with the annual Scout Charity Christmas Post; raising money both for charity and their own groups. Look out for the special stamps and the post bins dotted around the borough.
